Evaluation Levels and Achievement Descriptions

Overview

Evaluation Levels are the point system that every review will share. All reviews must be on the same point system to create internal equity.

Important Note

  • If you make any changes, they will immediately go into effect and impact all past reviews. It is strongly recommended that this setting remain undisturbed past implementation.
  • Dependent on the number of levels you have, you will have one additional level for Unrated/Incomplete. A zero in CivicHR means unrated or not complete; not possible in CivicHR to rate an employee with all 0’s.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to Settings

  2. Select Evaluation Levels

  3. Fill in fields
    • Drop-Down Menu: Controls points system

    • Achievement Levels: Define the range and label for each level

      • Select a level to edit:

        • Description: Provide a brief description
        • From Range: Select a start point
        • To Range: Select an endpoint
        • Save Levels: Select to finalize level edits
      • Note: Each level is inclusive and must not overlap.
    • Define Scale Increments: How many tick marks each evaluation slider receives

      • Select from Whole, Half, Quarter, or Tenth scale ticks
  4. Click Save Evaluation Levels

Note: It is recommended to either start at the bottom and work up, or start at the top and work down.
