Employee's Individual Development Plan

 

Overview 

On a review, an employee can create an Individual Development Plan. This helps employees form goals and create processes on how to achieve them.

Important Note

  • This can be turned on by request and is not a default feature found in the Performance Management module; to have this turned on, please contact Support or your implementation consultant.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to Manage Reviews

  2. Select your desired employee/review

  3. Select the Individual Development Plan tab

  4. Fill in Development Goals section

    • Development Goal #: Enter a goal
    • Measure of Achievement/Outcomes: Enter how to measure the goal/outcome
  5. Scroll down and fill in Methods to be Used - On the Job Learning

    • Goal #: Enter a goal
    • Type of Assignment: Enter the assignment type
    • Time Frame: Provide a time frame to achieve the goal in
    • Note: There are two Methods to be Used sections:
      • On-the-Job Learning: What challenging assignments should this employee work on to build skills and achieve developmental goals? List the goal number next to each item.
      • Training/Education: What specific training, educational experiences, and performance support measures (including online learning) can be used to develop desired skills and assist in achieving the employee’s goals? List the goal number next to each item.
  6. Fill in Methods to be Used - Training/Education

    • Goal #: Enter the goal
    • Type of Training/Education/Support: Enter type
    • When: Enter timeframe
    • Cost Estimate: Enter an estimate of cost
  7. Scroll down and fill in Follow Up Meetings

    • Quarter: Schedule quarterly meetings to check on progress
    • Date: Enter the exact date
    • Time: Enter the meeting time
  8. Provide Additional Comments Appropriate to Development Plan

  9. Click Save FormData either at the top or bottom of the IDP box

    • Print Form: Click this button at the top to print out a hard copy

  10. Click Save Details at the top of the review page
